Nunnington Farm is ideally situated for the village of West Wittering and the award winning beach. All shops in the village can be reached easily on foot or bicycle and the facilities include a surf shop, a café, a general store, a post office, a newsagent, a butcher's, a garage and a pub. West Wittering has a beautiful Saxon church. Itchenor Harbour, 2 miles away, has a public slip way and from here you can take a boat tour around the surrounding harbours such as Bosham and Dell Quay. The Cathedral town of Chichester is seven miles away. The Georgian town has a picturesque centre and is home to Chichester Festival Theatre. Fishbourne Roman Palace is within seven miles of the campsite. There is a remarkable display of mosaic floors as well as the recreation of the original formal gardens. Goodwood Racecourse is a fourteen mile drive from West Wittering You could also take a day trip to the Isle of Wight or visit the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum. Four miles away in Hunston you can play golf or go horse-riding. |
